Mr. Nigel Luxmoore-Ball

Nigel Luxmoore-Ball
Tanneron Basset Hounds since 1974

I first became involved with the Basset hound at the age of 12 when my mother purchased our first hound from the Beacontree Kennel in 1974.Ch Beacontree Teazel turned out to be a very special hound winning multiple cc’s and BOB’s culminating with BoB at Crufts .More importantly he was the start of a life long obsession with this wonderful breed .I bred and campaigned several champions with my mother under the Tanneron kennel name. Although only ever a small kennel breeding the occasional litter we have enjoyed success over the years.
I was passed to judge the breed at the highest level in 1987 and have subsequently judged specialties all over Europe, Scandanavia, Australia and the USA.It was my great honour to be invited to judge Dogs at the BHCA Nationals in 1996 and the following year to Judge the breed at Crufts.
More recently I have just finished my latest champion Woferlow cherry ice for Tanneron a real show girl, a joy to handle. I also very proudly bred with my partner Am and ARG Ch Tanneron Quickstep who now resides in the Its so Floppy kennel in Argentina and is proving a useful stud.I have also owned GBGV’s Russian Black Terriers and standard Wire haired Dachshunds I am also passed to judge Siberian Huskies.
Land mark shows are always a special honour to judge having judged the 25th anniversary show in Portugal last year, to be invited to judge your 50th is very exciting. As a board member of The Basset Hound club in the UK since1996 I fully appreciate how hard it is to keep these organisations running and the time and dedication it takes. Finally I would just like to take this opportunity to thank your club for inviting me to officiate on this special occasion.
